"A Walk in Paris" is from a series of press materials I designed for Mimi's sculptures. With work in both ceramic and bronze, the photo shoot required very specific lighting for each medium. I then created pages, similar to this one, for each piece.
This cookbook is from the renovation of Vida restaurant in Santa Cruz, California. Mimi was in charge of developing the restaurant's image, interior design, and a new menu. This was a multi-faceted project that required creativity and organization. This binder is the Vida cookbook and kitchen guide for the new menu. From Mimi's hand-written notes, I created pages for 60 recipes accompanied by food presentation images (taken by Mimi). Everything was organized into a stressed-chef-friendly cookbook clearly organized and readable, complete with daily/weekly preparation and purchase forms.
As a designer, chef, sculptor, and teacher, Mimi Snowden is an artistic powerhouse. My experience working for Mimi was always challenging and wonderful. The work required learning and problem-solving to meet the needs of a person with so many professions. I was her twenty-year-old technical handywoman doing everything from computer set-up to marketing material design.
